Introduction
St Brigid's main aim as a Catholic Primary School, is to strive to develop the full potential of each child’s individual personality to enable them to become valuable members of our Christian Community.
The staff at St Brigid’s School will work together to give each child the entitlement of a broad, balanced, differentiated curriculum, irrespective of race, gender or disability, encouraging in every individual a sense of self worth and self esteem.
It is our aim to develop the intellectual, physical, aesthetic, moral and social dimensions of their lives through the whole curriculum and the school’s Mission Statement.
It is our aim to raise the standards of our school whenever this is possible in order to provide the highest quality of learning that is the right of every child.
It is our aim that all pupils achieve a sense of independence and confidence with the ability to think for themselves and to develop a questioning approach to learning.
To support these fundamental aims we will endeavour to provide:-
· A curriculum that relates to the child’s individuality
· A caring, knowledgeable and well motivated staff
· A happy and stimulating, learning environment that is safe and secure
· The necessary resources to fulfill the requirements of the whole curriculum
· Opportunities through extra curricula activities to further the development of the child’s skill and interests
· A meaningful partnership with parents, the Church and the local community

St. Brigid's R.C. Primary School aims to provide a loving, secure Christian environment in which each child and adult is encouraged to achieve their full potential. We aim to foster strong links between Home, School and Parish by endeavouring to work closely with Parents, Governors, Parish and the Local Community.
