Introduction

At St Dominic’s we aim to give every child a broad, balanced and stimulating curriculum. Central to the school is the belief that children learn best when they are happy and feel safe and secure. Discipline within the school is calm but fair with the emphasis on encouraging positive attitudes and behaviour.

We believe the best chance of success for every child is a partnership between child, home and school. We are happy to discuss anything with parent/ carers which affect their child’s progress. We hope that we can rely upon parents support and co-operation so that together we can achieve the very best for every child. We hope that every child’s experience of school life will be a happy one.

Through funding from New deal for Communities enabled the creation of large community rooms  for parents and families within the local community. This has provided us with the opportunity to establish St. Dominic’s as a learning community, with the provision of Family and Adult Education and support from outside agencies.

Mission Statement

“St. Dominic’s Catholic Infant & Junior Schools are a Christian Community working happily together to enable every child to achieve their best.”
