Introduction

Longview Community Primary School is a thriving school with over 300 pupils from the ages of 4 to 11. We are able to offer part time nursery education and have a strong partnership with a child care provider who is based on site and is able to offer child care from 8am to 6pm. When the school was lasted inspected, the inspectors stated that ‘Longview is  a successful school that provides good value for money.’  The school was judged good in all catergories and outstanding in ‘Personal development and well –being.’

The school has excellent facilities which include an I.C.T suite with 30 computers as well as network access in each classroom.

We offer a wide variety at extra curricular activities from a boys and girls football team to an Art Club.

Parents are encouraged to become involved in the school life by either helping within the school or attending the many varied courses on offer.

Please feel free to contact the school to arrange a visit.

Mission Statement: 'TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE'

At Longview Community School this will be achieved through:

CURRICULUM - Every child is given the opportunity to become literate, numerate and to acquire the necessary technological skills for the future. Every child will be encouraged to reach his/her full potential in all areas of the curriculum.
MANNERS MATTER - Praise and encouragement are used to keep self-esteem high and ensure appropriate behaviour. Every child is aware of his/her responsibilities towards the Longview Community and understands that Manners Matter.
ENVIRONMENT and COMMUNITY - Every child to be given knowledge and understanding of the world and through this shows a responsible attitude towards themselves, each other and the community where they live. Parents, Staff, Governors and the local Community to work closely together for the benefit of the children.
