Accessibility

Using the Site

The website has four main areas:

The header contains the North Huyton Learning Collaborative logo which can be used to navigate back to the main website [home] page.  Each house icon relates to a particular school, rolling the mouse over the icons reveals which school they relate to.  Clicking on the icons navigates the user straight to the school section of the website.  This navigation remains the same throughout the NHLC website.

The left side column contains a search facility and the dynamic navigation menu. When a page is selected, the menu will expand to reveal extra options for the section if applicable.  The current section will be highlighted a different colour to the rest of the navigation menu to indicate the current area of the website.  At the bottom of the menu are the KMBC and North Huyton NDC logos.  Cliclikng on these logos will open their respective websites in a new browser window.  This navigation remains the same throughout the NHLC website.  To search the website enter text into the textbox and click the arrow at the right hand side of the text box.

The middle column is the information area.  Along with the main information displayed on the website, addtional links to other areas of the webpage and external webpages may appear in this area.  Please see the External Websites section of the Term and Conditions page for more information regarding external links.

The footer, at the bottom of the page, contains fixed links to sitemap, website terms and conditions, website privacy policy and the website accessibility. This navigation remains the same on all main council web pages.
